I set up this blog for my Communications 111 course at he University of Michigan. My group is interested in looking into what expectations men have of women due to the media. Why are we asking this? Well, once we find out what expectations are given to men from the media, we can look into ways of changes theses portrayals of women to form more realistic expectations, unlike the portrayals in television today. To answer this we need to look at the roles women play in popular television programs and see how they match up with expectations men have in real life.
